MOSS MA not found in UPA

Issue:
Getting error as "MOSS MA not found." while creating sync connection in SharePoint 2010 user profile service.
Resolution:
start the following services through service console at that service/app server
Forefront Identity Manager Service
ForeFront Identity Manager Synchronization Service
